The Race Challange - Extra #2 - Cortez666 - 03-31-2012
Time for the next challenge!
The good thing is everyone is able to participate, no matter where you are, because you can do it locally.
This time its race again!
The Map is departure from monad. (The winner of the speedmapping contest! )

Mabye I lost the speedmapping contest but I will win speeding on speedmapping contast maps! Ha! Even Sless has no chance when I'm the competitor! Count me in!1st EDIT: 37:25 so far...

There is 'mh' and 'ma' in the map and also some shards. I use g_balance_selfdamagepercent 0, But I can ensure everybody it changes nothing! I use it only because I don't like 'wasting' time before run to get as much health and armor as I can. With 100/100 stack its possible to make such run, I hope the fact I used noself dmgit won't change enything.

It seems many settings of a game can be changed when playing a local game, my question is can someone alter the force/push of laser at will? and if that's possible how can we detect a small tweak made to the laser? surely if it is possible it will give some the edge in these challenges and would be unfair to many.

Of course you can adjust anything you want to.
But I believe you should not do that and it's not sportsmanship.
Default settings is the way to go imo.

well it changes something. you have to do it again, noselfdamage isnt default in 0.6.

nope. if you would do that, i wouldnt say anything. r_showsurfaces 3 doesnt affect the gameplay.

I don't get why WEPAPON race has self damage enabled(DA FAQ?), but I won't undermine your logic, sir. After all: Its not the same stuff, I have to agree with you there. I tried with self damage today and after second attempt(COOL STUFF) I managed 0:16.88, It's not 0:16.71(AS YOU CAN SEE) but still I can put up with this. Time under GOD DAMN 17-ing lives up to my expectations. Im sorry for bad language, no offense. Was just a bit pissed off.
