Enable Xonotic jumping grunt sounds? - Beagle - 05-14-2015

Hey, do any of you people know if there is a way to enable jump grunting sounds. By that I mean the jump.ogg sound. Is there a cvar for it. Thx.

Ehm, sir. But g_jump_grunt won't work on a multiplayer servers smoke.mudkip.

I believe for multiplayer its set by the server/admin (which seems ridiculous imo!). Had this same issue when wanting to record grunt sounds for CTS runs.

If other players can hear the sounds, it makes sense that the setting would be controlled by the server admin.

What I mean MrBougo is why isn't this a client side feature?

If I want to have grunt sounds on a multiplayer server, why can't it be client side? It just seems a bit silly having it serverside controlled.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. It's like footsteps, either everyone should hear them, or noone. Otherwise people who have it enabled get extra clues on the positions of the players.

Thats why I wanted them same reason as Mr. Bougo. Extra clues.
