7zip won't open file as archive

Greetings,

I am trying to open the xonotic-0.1.0preview.zip in ubuntu linux 10.10. I get an error message:

7z x xonotic-0.1.0preview.zip

7-Zip 9.04 beta Copyright © 1999-2009 Igor Pavlov 2009-05-30
p7zip Version 9.04 (locale=en_US.utf8,Utf16=on,HugeFiles=on,4 CPUs)

Processing archive: xonotic-0.1.0preview.zip

Error: Can not open file as archive

What could cause this problem? I have a hunch, but I need a confirmation.
