I don't know (I don't think so) if it is in version 0.1. So you probably have to get a newer version ( http://forums.xonotic.org/showthread.php?tid=1863 ).

I'd like to translate the game to Greek. I know this thread is somewhat old but it obviously hasn't been locked yet and it's definitely not too late to get the translation into 1.0!
This is despite the fact no Greek person will own a computer (or pants) by the time 1.0 is released thanks to socialists, haha. Anyway, I'm one of the most active translators for Greek on translatewiki.net which translates open-source projects like FreeCol, Mediawiki (the software Wikipedia and stuff use, including all Wikia wikis) and OpenStreetMap among others. I've completed the translation for Open Images all by myself, though it rather disappointingly still only supports Dutch and English so many months later. In total, over 1500 strings translated by yours truly. And I want in. |

I actually wonder though if our font actually currently supports greek characters... I'm sure sev or divVerent could provide an answer to that though. So I can keep it quite quick. Let's start with translating the menu, that is the most important part. In-game messages are not completely translatable yet anyway. Also, ^7 or the like need to be kept as is (they do coloring). Example: msgid "^1%s^7 ate ^2%d cookies^7." msgstr "^2%2$d cookies^7 were eaten by ^1%1$s^7." will translate divVerent ate 42 cookies. into 42 cookies were eaten by divVerent. When you are done, you can test your translation by putting your menu.dat.el.po file into ~/.xonotic/data/menu.dat.el.po (basically, in the same directory as your config.cfg goes), then start the game and enter "prvm_language el; menu_restart" on the game console which you reach by pressing shift-escape.

I seem to be unable to find this config.cfg file, at least on Windows XP from the torrent package. Or do you need a Unix-like system to do this (as hinted by the ~/.)? I haven't used Linux in a while... damn KDE, why do you have to be a resource hog and why do the other DEs have to suck so badly in comparison to you?!

Hi, I made bulgarian translation of Xonotic 0.5.0, and because I'm not sure where to send it, I'm posting it here.
It's 90% completed - the game modes, some graphics options and some minor (but hard to translate) strings are still untranslated. menu.dat.bg.po.zip (Size: 16.16 KB / Downloads: 0)

I contacted divVerent and he said he's want this translation. I hope my version not different to that of HEAD as far the original text goes. You should include the Bulgarian fellow's one as well.
Also, apologies for me forgetting how to convert to MO... I guess I've gotten too used to Transifex and Translatewiki software. -.- |

CA = A game mode called "Clan Arena". It's like a mix of TDM and LMS. You spawn with full health and all weapons. Once you die you have to spectate in this round until 1 entire team is dead (team which is alive gets the point).
Rocket Flying is a mutator and I guess it changes the settings of the Rocket Launcher to allow rocket flying. It allows something like this I guess: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvM5te70iek |

Rocketlfying mutator sets rocketdelay to zero. Which means you can detonate your rocket immediately after you fired it, and fly that way -> awesome

I'd help but I'm still not even near 50% of FreeOrion translation that I started years ago :-P. I found that textfile/forum/wiki aren't good tools for translating if there are more than a couple of lines of text to translate. (Qt Linguist is an ideal tool IMHO.)

Hello! I know you have all been waiting for this. I can tell by the sheer amount of requests I got for this (literally zero). And now luckily there wont be any
![]() So see the attachment for my latin translation! It took a while to finish it, since I had to trace a lot of non-ancient words back to their roots. Therefore some inconsistencies might have crept into it. |
