[SUGGESTION] What do me and my bro think

Okay, sorry if I just suggest without any reasons

1. Add 3 maps: Aggressorx, Geoplanetary, Strength
- Those are 3 good, cool, & famous maps
2. Change Weapons name:
a. Devastator --> Rocket Launcher
- I think "Rocket Launcher" is better than "Devastator"
b. Vortex --> Nex/Rail Gun
- Nex means "violent death" in Latin
- It shoots like Rail Gun
c. Vaporizer --> MinstaNex/Minsta Gun
- "Minsta" is not a bad name, why have it change?
d. Heavy Laser Assault Cannon --> Pulse Gun
- HLAC is a fkn' long name, and it don't shoot laser (like what Mario said)
3. Add Flak Cannon
- It is not a bad gun, we should ty to add them
4. Fix New Toys on NIX
- New Toys on NIX only add Shockwave, it doesn't add the others, like rifle or seeker
5. Remove Shockwave
- It's a useless gun, 1/2 laser & 1/2 shotgun
6. a. Change Strength Powerup item model to A Punching Hand (punching up)
b. Change Shield Powerup item model to A Shield (like generator shield on ons) with an erebrus inside
- It actually not important, but I think it is a better symbol than Chinese letter
7. Add g_ride (for riding people like on SMB mod)
- It's just, cool, you can ride/carry someone else
8. Change the kill image with buff:
- What I mean kill image is the image that can be seen when [someone] killed [someone] with [something]
a. Inferno: Circled fire
b. Vengeance: Circled skull
- Sometimes I confused, did he/she/it kill him/her/it with a lava/inferno buff, just add a circle, so I can know did he/she/it kill him/her/it with buff or not
9. Fix lighting (especially on darkzone & stormkeep)
- It needs to be repaired, I don't know how can I say it
10. Fix BOT's navigation inside/on water
- BOTs won't attack/move when they're inside/on water
11. Fix Invasion Gametype
- The Invasion gametype haven't added to the gametype list, and it's still crappy
- How if the Monsters' spawnpoint is the same like players' spawnpoint?
- If you want to delete it, not a problem

What will be the next Xonotic version? 0.8.2; 0.9.0; 1.0.0?

100% agree on the names, though I don't play the game much anymore.

Hearing antibodys videos as a somewhat outsider (stats shows 4 years, but I do play pubs from tine to time), I can't imagine anyone who doesn't read the forums or blog to know what those names mean.

For some reason they had to change. I'm not sure it was needed either. But now that they have, let's just keep it like this. It would be a bit silly to change them back again to their old names. Allow these new names to become a 'tradition' instead (like "Crylink" and "Electro").

As for a lot of other suggestions, I think it would be good to specify what you mean by "Fix" Smile

Vortex - Because the gun shoots a vortex beam of sorts...

Devastator - It's a single word, and a cool name.
Mortar - It was already named mortar, but grenade launcher in other places for some reason.
Machine Gun - Because it's not a Uzi...

Rail Gun (Vortex) - because it's projectile is like Rail Gun

Darkzone's and Stormkeep's lighting is a bit, well, strange
Kill image: example: Antibody killed SPLAT w/ Devastator
Antibody [rocket image] SPLAT
What I mean "Kill Image" is the [rocket image]
Players can kill someone with 2 buffs: Inferno and Vengeance buff

What I mean "change kill image" is:
The Inferno buff kill image is fire (like Lava)
The Vengeance buff kill image is a skull
I suggest you for circle it (to make it to be a symbol of "buff", so i can see it is a buff or not)

Ah, now I understand which images you mean. Could you explain the buffs, where do they come from, are they from a mod or is it some sort of achievement? What is the difference between vengeance and inferno? If those are termini coming from another game like quake, please apologize for not knowing, but I have never played quake.

Do we have buff kill images? Sorry, I don't know the Xonotic buff system :oS

Edit: do you mean perhaps that for the kill notifications that are per default lower right corner the kill image should show you additionally if a buff has been active at the fragging player? So that you do not only see how the death has been caused (weapon), but also what kind of buff the fragging player had, if any? In that case it would make sense to use different circle images or an underlying image for each buff. I would be against showing only vengeance buff and inferno buff, other buffs should be visible too. It would be tricky to make the image so it's clearly visible which buff is meant, without having an impact on the death cause image's perception. Maybe one could use additional buff images next to the player name. I can see however, that this info could be valuable. I think we have this for strength and shield powerup, haven't we.

Ok, I mean, for example:

1. Antibody brings the Vengeance buff
Antibody's health is 150 w/ no armor
SPLAT has 5 health
SPLAT shoots Antibody with a Devastator
SPLAT dead because of Antibody's Vengeance buff
Antibody [vengeange buff] SPLAT
It's the vengeance buff's "kill image"

2. Antibody brings the Inferno buff
SPLAT's Health is 81
Antibody shoots SPLAT with a Fully Chargedkilledx (damage 80)
SPLAT's health is 1
Antibody's Inferno buff start working
Antibody killed SPLAT with his Inferno buff
Antibody [inferno buff] SPLAT
It's the inferno buff's "kill image"

What he means is, it's possible for a player to be killed by a buff.
The icon for these deaths is probably the buff image itself (the one you see in the HUD), so it should be fairly easy to identify.

Ah, I get it now. Thanks for explaining. I think if a player can get killed by a buff, then such a kill image would indeed make sense.

Flak cannon is part of Jeff's mods, and yes, it's very unbalanced.

As for the buff icon; it's currently broken, apparently. I will look into fixing it.

It also needs a new hud icon for that weapon its still using 0.7's

And in the other theme, (not Luma) the Gametype and Weapons icon still uses the 0.8.0 icon
And one of the theme (not Luma & Luminos), the version on the main menu still 0.5.0
