In Xonotic there should be an option for the tablist to show player flags displayed on the left of there name, and instead of displaying flag by ip how about you choose your flag and an option to hide or show flags and an option to hide your flag from players.
Country flags would be useless if anyone could select any flag.
At that point, we'd be better off letting them design their own player icon of sorts, but it's a low priority task for "later".

I disagree. It's not a loss from anybody if somebody represents a wrong country and people who instinctively want to represent their real country are likely urging to do it anyway.
But it defeats the purpose of showing the country a player is from, as it would be false 90% of the time.
