There are a few versions of yakmilk but I failed to find the best way to have a working one that doesn't have missing textures. Ideas?

Beagle, that file has no textures.

NetRadiant doesn't look in xonotic- prefixed files other than the maps one, which means the nexcompat file/folder is ignored, hence the missing textures.

It's not recommended to continue using Nexuiz textures, but if you need to look at this map for some reason fully textured, you can simply remove the xonotic- prefix from the xonotic-nexcompat.pk3dir folder.
Rename it back when you're done, otherwise you'll be re-downloading it next time you update Git.

Mario, thanks for the tip for the map makers.

As a player though, these two are very different experience for me:

Thanks. By repo, do you mean http://xonotic.co/? Couldn't find the new version there.

As an update (mostly for server admins), the patched file is available at http://dl.xonotic.co/yakmilk_4teams_03.pk3 , although it doesn't show up in the map list (yet).
