Every few weeks I'll be running KOTH events. King of the Hill is basically winner stays on dueling. The rules are quite simple, winner stays on, next challenger picks the map. The map pool isn't set at all and will be whatever seems fun on the day (recommendation for maps to try out are always welcome.) The ruleset is a standard XPM Duel ruleset but with 5 minute games (to keep waiting times down).
I will have a temporary server somewhere in the middle of Europe (sorry NA), but the IP will always be `koth.magnoren.uk`. There will be Mumble for a voice chat and I have set up the #xonotic.koth channel on QuakeNet. All that is required to play is the game though, so don't worry if you don't want to join IRC or Mumble.
I will also be streaming the events at https://twitch.tv/cccam_ if you'd like to tune in but can't make the server. Some casting, some playing, some chatting.
Everyone is welcome to come, no matter what skill. If you can only play one or two games then that's fine, just come for however long you can and have some fun. Nothing serious.
