XDL - Season 3 - Mirio - 08-12-2013
Xonotic Duel League - Season 3
- Different system than previous seasons (so read 1.1 at least
)- Vote the maps! 7 will get in the pool.
(Yes I included every map I could think of and yes the maps from Duel WC are left out on purpose)
(I will remove votes of people who do not participate)
1. General
Join #xonotic.duel
1.1 Group Stage system
This season will have two group stages.
The 8 players who made it to the Duel WC Playoffs are already promoted to the 2nd Group Stage if they approve their participation (if they don't then the winner of Loser Playoffs gets promoted etc. etc.).
Everyone else who signs up will be seeded into the 1st Group Stage.
The 1st Group Stage will last 3 weeks (unless it finishes earlier of course "
").I will announce how many people advance to the 2nd Group Stage when I know the number of groups.
After the 2nd Group Stage we will have a Playoff Single Elmination with the winner of each group.
I will add a Single Elimination bracket for the people who drop out in 1st Group Stage.
1.2 Playing
1st Group Stage
- Bo1
- Cointoss + Drop-Drop-Drop-Drop-Drop-Drop -> Remaining map gets played
2nd Group Stage
Every match will be played in a Best of 3 (Bo3). Three maps maximum can be played in a match. Every player chooses a map at the beginning of the match. Decider is choosen by elimination. [Drop-Drop-Drop-Drop-Pick-Pick; vcall cointoss to decide who starts]. A draw is not possible.
1.3 Duration
1st Group Stage - Start: 1st September 2013 | End: 22nd September 2013
If a player does not play a match, it’s up to the admins how it will be valued at the end of the season.
1.4 Demos
Admins can ask a player to give them their demos. If a player refuses to give them, a warn will be issued.
1.5 Registration
You can register from NOW until 31st August 2013 by a) posting here or b) messaging me (Mirio) somewhere!

Simple: Talk to a player in your group and play it on one of the official servers.

3. In game play
3.1 Game format
- 1v1 Duel (XPM)
- Timelimit: 10
- Fraglimit: 0
- Best of 3 (cointoss, drop-drop-drop-drop-pick-pick)
3.2 Mappool
VOTE! Top 7 gets in.
A match has to be played again if the players did not play it on one of these maps.
3.3 Forfeiting
You may forfeit during a match, but your opponent will get 3 frags for each minute remaining.
