LOL I played with 180+ ping for 4+ years even on my own sever which were hosted in EU. You get use to it after a while.

New to Xonotic.... just started the Ug's Cave [Atlanta] servers a couple of weeks ago. Hope Xonotic will release and get the word out. This game CANNOT be done yet!! Needs new life!

I'm here! There seems to be an effect where if one person joins a server, so will two or three others, so even if a server looks empty, join it, and play against the bot(s) for some time. You will get a game.

Checking in from Oklahoma. So that is Central Standard Timezone. I play almost every night after 10 pm. Normally till 2 am-ish. I develop the Clan website most nights also.
I started a new clan for Xonotic, and with it comes a Clan Website. Looking for a few newer members to join and train with.
I have some I.R.L friends that I'm coaxing to come play Xonotic.
I have some interesting plans for the Clan, which I hope will directly involve the community as a whole.

Sup, this is TehNems from Texas. Someone from UT99.org recommended that I give Xonotic a try and I'm doing just that. I played a long time ago back when the game was called Nexuiz and I think I even played a bit when it got renamed to Xonotic but I never registered to the forums or the stat tracker thing until now. Anyway, I've got the arena shooter itch and I found myself getting back into UT99, mainly botmatches but I'm trying to get out of my comfort zone and play with people online.
I've been playing shooters since the original Doom came out in 1993 so I have a lot of experience with the FPS genre in general. However, multiplayer shooters, especially arena shooters, are kind of new to me. I've played some on and off on both PC and consoles in the past but I haven't really tried to get into them seriously until now. I'd consider myself average and competent. I don't expect to win any matches I play online and I'm okay with that. For me, it's not about winning but the general rush involved when playing, what Lazy Game Reviews on YouTube calls "High Intensity Zen", that altered flow state where you're focused and your heartbeat's elevated. Anyway, yeah, I'm gonna be an easy target and I don't expect to win. I just throw myself out there with reckless abandon and see what happens. :v
I'm most likely to hop on anywhere between Sunday nights (when I get off work) through Wednesday nights on my days off, most likely evenings. Hopefully I'll get better as I play more. Either way, I'll still have fun and hopefully I'll run into y'all sometime.
