I have recorded a demo of the last match but I don't think that it is usable for some videos or whatever, lots of lags and bad play etc. Is there a way to control the playback of demos?

To pause: slowmo 0
Normal playback speed: slowmo 1
Twice normal speed: slowmo 2
Three times normal speed: slowmo 3
etc.

You can also use floating point numbers: slowmo 0.38 to play back at 38% of the original speed for example. No negative numbers though.
Also try pausedemo to pause the demo. Although I don't remember exactly how, it's different from slowmo 0 because the internal clock keeps ticking in pausedemo mode.
