Codendi, the open source platform for Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) - PGP_Qz - 11-20-2010

During my weekend technology watch, I came across this:

http://www.codendi.com/codendi_solution.php

Quote:Codendi is the open source platform for managing the life cycle of software applications. The innovative features of Codendi are that it integrates the best collaborative tools with industrial development applications (version management, compiling, integration, testing, releases) delivered through open source to guarantee a greater control of your projects.

I do not know what tools are used by the Xonotic development team or if there is one. But Codendi seems to be very well done.
In addition it manages the wiki and GIT system used by xonotic.

It's just information that I found interesting ...
Personally, I think I'll use it in my work.

I don't think it will work well for us, as it seems to force itself on all sorts of subsystems we already have working (e.g. multiplatform release builds, git repository maintenance).

Would otherwise sound nice.

We currently use redmine.

Xonotic currently uses Redmine from http://www.redmine.org/ as its backend, have a look at http://dev.xonotic.org/

This spamlog http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/open-source-project-management-software.html lists Codendi as #1 and Redmine as #2 in a "Top 10 Open Source Web-Based Project Management Software"
