vehicles and jumping - darthrevan - 12-31-2010

Hi everyone.
I wanted to discuss vehiclesSmile What is the use of them, if we can jump faster, than any vehicle in unreal 3 could run? I think jumping with increasing speed and vehicles are incompatible.
Personally, I find jumping like that silly, but maybe it is just me.

Obviously vehicles shouldn't be used in standard game modes like dm or ctf, but I think there is a place for vehicles for some assault and onslaught maps Smile

Nah I think vehicles would be fine in such cases, ThePWTULN - Just, the mapper should place them responsibly and try not to ruin the map with them Tongue

Indeed, vehicles shouldnt be playced in gamemodes like ctf or tdm.
To have some vehicles (of any type) in onslaugh, assault,... would be very cool! Smile
The problem is that maps get very big if we want the vehicles to be useful...

On big maps you have more space to jump. In the castle map in dm, i can achieve something around 60 km/h in the room with jumper. You will be faster than any vehicle anyway.
