weapons not dropping in minsta games - zypresse - 01-04-2011
Hey all!
Can't access the bug report section, so i'll try it here:
There seems to be a problem with weapons not dropping from killed enemies, when they should. This appears to be random and i have seen it only in minsta games.

I can confirm this, it's very annoying. Sometimes it drops, sometimes it does not, there seems to be no regularity. It really hurts on servers which don't give you much ammo at start.

I suspect, if your victim has less than X ammo left then they will not drop the weapon. Somebody who has read the "weapon drop" code could confirm this.

I can confirm this. If they don't have any ammo, they don't drop.

it isn.t the case that the victim has low ammo .....
I played today on PK-Xonotic server and his admin Phil PK can confirm the not dropping of weapon randomly too - even if the victim has a lot of ammo ...

Confirmed. It looks like it not dropping if the victim currently is in (re)fire animation (not only in minsta btw, affects all modes. just more visible here) have someone aim at a wall and shoot, then kill min right after = no weap drop. kill him while hes doing nothing = weap drop.

I suppose i'll take a crack at fixing it later today, i've seen the same issue for sure.
