RE: Inspriation for player models - MC SE7EN - 03-29-2010 We already had a cow… can we at least have him back as a hidden character? RE: Inspriation for player models - Erusavion - 03-29-2010 Xonotic is going to have a set artistic style, guys. The dumpster affect of Nexuiz made it unappealing to people that like higher graphics quality. Sure, cows are fun, but we're trying to mature the game a bit. RE: Inspriation for player models - Aleator - 03-30-2010 RE: Inspriation for player models - theShadow - 03-30-2010 i like this very much. this sort of concept would also work for the glow thing oblivion was talking about. RE: Inspriation for player models - Tei - 03-31-2010 OP and all you guys did a great work with this thread. Also, for some reason, I also like the "nerd fat office dude". Like I said, put them in some armor or something and suddenly, they're all futuristic. RE: Inspriation for player models - Rad Ished - 04-05-2010 Man, now i've seen so much space armour, EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD looks generic. RE: Inspriation for player models - sev - 04-06-2010 Have a look at the works of Christopher Conte: http://www.microbotic.org/portfolio.htm Added bonus: they are "real" RE: Inspriation for player models - Spyroviper - 04-06-2010 (03-23-2010, 07:20 PM)cookie Wrote: Can engine run models runnin' on 4 legs? If so, im going to try work on mantis. It's not about the engine being able to run it, it's more about having a decent animation that won't look like something from a 1930's stop animation film. RE: Inspriation for player models - MirceaKitsune - 04-12-2010 Just for the sake and even fun of it, here are some inspiration images on my side too Looked for ideas that could actually make sense and inspire, without looking silly for default characters. After all, a shooter needs some "cute aliens" too [EDIT] Not sure why the forum's showing images as broken links. The issue still seems to be happening with img tags, for some odd reason :/ RE: Inspriation for player models - Icyton - 06-02-2011 This was a Quake3 model made by PolyCount, however the model was never done. A flying drone model would be nice. It needs a bit of modification to fit in the artstyle though. RE: Inspriation for player models - Mario - 06-03-2011 RE: Inspriation for player models - Droid - 09-02-2011 THAT STUFF IS BRILLIANT i like first one best tho RE: Inspriation for player models - .Danny. - 09-02-2011 (06-02-2011, 09:35 AM)Icyton Wrote: Hovering droids would be good for bot drones I think. Slow and slightly dumb to fit the A.I. |
