Hello - Haifen - 02-26-2011
Hi everyone-
I'm new to Xonotic (via Nexuiz, used DarkPlaces before that). I'm new to game development and game engines, but I'd like to help in any way that I can (maybe start with texturing?). I'd also like to use Xonotic as an excuse to finally learn QuakeC, and help a little with development there if there's anything to be done. You guys really have made a most impressive game and I hope to see what's around the corner. Take care, and thank you for all that you do.

Everyone is very happy to see people willing to help, but i personally would be even more happy to see everyone doing one little thing at least twice a day.

Sadly, I'm new to texturing, but have experience with imagework and a small amount of experience in modeling (I'm vaguely aware of what the problems and requirements are in generating a texture that wraps smoothly around a surface). I'm afraid I have very little actual experience with making textures, but it's not totally alien to me and I'd like to learn.

Hi-
Thank you very much, that's quite helpful. It will likely be a long while before my skills will be at the point where I'm doing actual work for Xonotic and not just fiddling around on my own attempts to texture for something in Blender, but it's good to know where help is needed.
