Video Configurations in the Settings Menu - .Danny. - 03-04-2011 Hey everyone. I wanted to just post this thread and consult others on the Video setting in Xonotic. Since I started playing I've found it difficult to hit targets because of the low light and the fact that they don't exactly stand out either. When increasing light levels I can see other players better but it tend s to look washed out. On the other hand getting preferable lighting means not being able to see players. Instead of spending lots of time tweaking settings until I get the desired balance, I thought why not just ask? Also if you tell me the settings you use so I can try them out. This doesn't NOT INCLUDE anything other than the video configurations and perhaps the effects configurations in the settngs menu. I don't want to get into graphics cards or any other stuff. kay thanks! RE: Video Configurations in the Settings Menu - ThePWTULN - 03-04-2011 You can use the commands sv_fbskin_green 1, _orange 1 or _red 1 to improve visibility However this removes each player's two-colour scheme, so everyone looks the same. RE: Video Configurations in the Settings Menu - ThePWTULN - 03-05-2011 I don't know what happens with 3 or more teams, but in 2 team games one team has high-visibility blue and the other has high-visibility red. RE: Video Configurations in the Settings Menu - The mysterious Mr. 4m - 03-07-2011 It also depends on the monitor settings and whether you play during day/ during night. During day, with the sun in the back i usually cram up contrast or gamma or what the fsck it was. i rarely mess with the defaults (these days). Only mouse sensitivity and in_pitch. |
