New restrictions upon forum signatures - Samual - 10-23-2011
Hey everyone,
This is just a quick announcement to notify you guys of a change we're going to make to the signature system which will limit the amount of lines/sizes of images you can place there.
These new rules are:
- Message size can be 1024 bytes long (previously was 255 bytes)
- Signatures will be limited to 72 pixels high (4 lines of text max, one line is 18 pixels)
- If an image is larger than 72 pixels high, it will be cut off and only display up until that limit
Of course we mainly did this because of complaints about some users having large and annoying signatures, and we feel that these limits are respectable for everyone and best serve the purpose of a good signature.
The changes will take effect on October 25th (in 2 days of this post) -- If you have any other recommendations or comments regarding this go ahead and voice your opinion.
