SOLVED: triple monitor problem - Eicca - 12-14-2011 Hello guys, my problem is the following: It is not possible to play Xonotic 0.5.0 on three monitors (dual graphics cards). The complete picture is distorted. All workes fine with Xonotic 0.1.0. In Nexuiz, there was a similar problem, but there the picture of two monitors (first graphics card) was correct and the picture of the monitor of the second graphics card consisted only of strips. To delete the configuration directory did not help. The resolution (4200x1050) was manually entered into the config.cfg. I start the game directly on a new X session (startx ./xonotic-linux64-sdl -- :1) with two X-servers connected via Xinerama, because of the two graphics cards. The wired thing is that the menu is displayed on all three monitors without any problems. After loading the map - in the actual game - you cannot see anything. With Nexuiz the menu was visible as in the game only to two-thirds. system: 2x Nvidia Quadro FX 3500 archlinux 64bit nvidia driver 290.10-1 regards Eicca RE: triple monitor problem - Mr. Bougo - 12-14-2011 I suggest you play in windowed mode until you find a fullscreen fix. Multi-screen stuff is complicated :x Can't help you any further but I'm sure someone else will. Multi-screen stuff is complicated :x Tried windowed mode without a better result - so I modified the resolution from 4200x1050 to 4100x1050 and it works! It is a really wired resolution-bug! Thanks for the food for thought. RE: triple monitor problem - Mr. Bougo - 12-15-2011 That's funny. I'm not sure what kind of multiscreen issue would affect windowed mode. Glad you sorted it out, though! |
