That is the layout I am familiar with, since I played hl2 dm for some time. I never really played quake 3 arena though *takes cover from flying objects*

I do have one question though, the weapon switching is really slow compared to hl2 dm, is it possible to speed the animation up? Or at least change the weapon menu to something similar as in hl2 dm example (you might see where my HUD inspiration comes from in this screenshot ^^)

It works like that, you can press the number 3 for example 2 times and the second weapon from the third category gets highlighted. With the left mouse button I can choose that weapon. That way I don't need to rotate through all the weapons in category 3.

Edit: Ok I was testing a bit and if I press the keys fast enough it will skip the weapon, which is fine this way. So I am basically happy :>

Well shit. Was typing out a big thread then I realized we had one of these already. Was gonna use it to display -Z-'s new tool which would help players more easily visualize where they could put their binds.

The tool that SPLAT mentioned is still in progress, but you can currently upload your CFG and have it parse, then make it all pretty with colors in the GUI. http://z.github.io/kbx

I'm still waiting on my new synaptic neurolink to arrive, then I won't need any HUD or binds. Currently using a esdf layout, with guns all around it.

1) Movement Key are on Default
2) Viewfinder changed
3) Weapon Position changed
4) Weapon Key are on Default
