Even more nostalgia - SavageX - 01-21-2012

Recently I stumbled upon some very old Nexuiz promo videos on my harddrive. Here is the (to my knowledge) very first released video footage of what later would become Xonotic:

At that time Nexuiz used maps in Half Life BSP format. Two of the shown maps survived in open-source Nexuiz. Who recognizes those? Smile

We have a winner!
Ah, I also happen to have builds from ca. May 2003 and November 2003. The latter already contains the oldest map present in Xonotic...

The funny thing is, the playermodels back then are better than the current ones

And why?

RE: Even more nostalgia - Mirio - 01-21-2012

Crylink model survived as well (the looks at least). Tongue

Im preddy sure thats the very same model. Why ppl keep making replacements for the nex/rl/mg/whatever instead of that one is beyond me. This models is possibly older then some of our players -.O thew on that one. Tongue

I guess the Laser model never changed too? At least it's there for a very long long time.

I always thought Nexuiz had a really unique style to it. I loved the music, and many of the maps.

RE: Even more nostalgia - Mr. Bougo - 01-22-2012

Fun! I'm from the 2.3 times so I have never experienced all of this.

I remember the model for the MG, and how this map looked also I think.

I've been around pretty much since 1.0/1.1 of Nexuiz, so some memories Smile
