And imo it doesn't really matter who you kill, in a fragmovie it should just matter HOW you kill someone. Frags made on public servers can just be as awesome in a movie as ones made in pickup games.
PCL's Farewell Nexuiz movie for example contained for 90% frags made on public servers. Did that make it a bad movie? Absolutely not.

P.S Some of mine are from public too, but majority of them are from duel/TDM games.
Also, noticed your put you will use standard effect script. Can you atleast include the red mortar trail, really it make's it a lot lot easier to see them in a video with all the details on high.

I think he was asking why you picked a res with 16:10 aspect ratio instead of 16:9 like most movies do (1680x945 in this case).
Coz my monitor resolution max is 1680x1050, and i dont want to make 720p since it will be lower quality, i want this movie to be high quality

Hm, I see. Unless you manage to trick your drivers, the only way to render at a resolution larger than your screen's is to use software rendering (vid_soft 1). Then you can capture video in windowed mode even if the window overflows from your display, I think. But it would be slower than usual rendering, I guess...

You think it works because you can't see what your monitor isn't showing you. Try taking a screenshot, it will be the right size but it will be empty on the parts that lie outside of your screen. Same problem with video.

the quality is depends on the bitrate not the resolution

I thought you might be right on this, so I checked - and it works ok, vide the screenshots.

Heh. It didn't work for me and div confirmed to me that Darkplaces had no support for this... I guess I must have formulated my question to him wrongly.
Maybe it's hardware-dependant.
