It's up to the discretion of the creator of the video if he wants to use copyrighted material. But then the video could not be used by the project for PR purposes (you will not see it embedded on the homepage for example).

It's illegal to publish copyrighted content without a license. If zeroql wants to use copyrighted music in his video, that's up to him. But the Xonotic team won't take risks with that.

Big thing its gona be more epic with rock music and such.As far as copyright music goes, it nothing to do with xonotic team and realises its just a simple movie from community, like all other quake movies.I told Salami
i can get a band to make official song for Xonotic but no replay from them.P.S 3rd song done!

The averagesong takes about 4 minutes. If your movie is gonna be 20 minutes that means 60% is already finished.
And of course making the start of the movie, and the credits won't take so long. So we shouldn't have to wait a lot longer
