The central circular gradient looks like a good idea for me.
And - could you make a version without the flames? I think they are unnesesary and removing them might make the image clearer - please consider making two versions. With and without flames

I have seen some wallpapers from screenshots in my life - and I belive a pure screenshot is too noisy, to full of different stuff to be a good wallpaper - you just won't recognise your icons above it.
Cheshire Cat, I belive you need to add some plain gradients or something - to make it useful as a wallpaper - it needs to "cointain some plain" for icons to be visible. And titles to be readable.
That's why I liked the C.Brutail's design better.
