Xonotic Quick Cup #8 (2v2 TDM/AU) - harry_ftw - 09-07-2012
We had a quick one-night friendly 2v2tdm competition between a few players on the Australian servers. It wasn't really a tournament, certainly not an OFFICIAL XONOTIC TOURNAMENT, so I don't know if this summary belongs here or not. I hope nobody is deeply offended by this post.
We had ten players. We picked five teams of two, trying to make the team balance even; our aim was to have close games rather than have one team easily beat all the rest.
- [0]harry_ftw and [3<]Turkey_shoot
- [0]Trev&Nacho and Lento
- [!]KaosKeith and dV|Ling (who is too scared to track her stats)
- FLiMFLaM and aexoxea
- Osiris and Anonymous Player #7043 (who is now not so anonymous after all).
Each match was only seven minutes long, and a single map. Some of the map choices were unusual for 2v2tdm, but that didn't stop them all from being fun times. The games were as follows, where the numbers refer cunningly to the teams as numbered above.
At the end of the night, the teams were ranked in the order they are listed.

Harry_ftw.. wins while dragging an anchor.
And wp trev and lento.. especially with the ping disadvantage.
Good times (almost as good as the days of Nexuiz.. sigh!)
