Change level settings in single player - inini - 02-24-2013

Hi there. Noob here. I want to change level settings in single player, how do I do that? Like increasing the number of frags or caps to win. The other thing is I cant go beyond the race level 21 (no that good on the races) how can I skip it? Please show me step by step, the Xonotic commands to type. I have seen this advice

"You can edit the file data/data/campaign.cfg in your data directory"

but failed to use it. Do I type "data/data/campaign.cfg" after pressing shift + esc??

In the Singleplayer window there are three buttons above the list of maps, light medium and hard. In the race level, it will change the time that you have to finish the map in.
If you want to skip a level, you should edit the campaign.cfg outsside of the game.

In Level 21: race: Stormkeep
Time does not change if set it on easy, medium or hard

Hi inini! If you don't mind, I'm going to split your question into a new thread because this is a little bit off topic. But I'm waiting from a reply from you so that you don't wonder where your posts went.

I answered the level 21 question in other threads. The problem is that the xonotic 0.6 campaign is bugged, so you have to skip that level. Maybe the campaign.cfg post was from me. There is a simpler method though, here is the post: http://forums.xonotic.org/showthread.php?tid=3943&pid=55879#pid55879

EDIT: I split this into a new thread. Old thread was http://forums.xonotic.org/showthread.php?tid=3467
