Duplicate id due to os change... - kammy - 03-22-2013

Recently I changed the os my pc is running and forgot to copy over the
key... so I got a few games done with another "new" id that is not actually me...

Is there a way to merge the two id's? or simply remove the extra id if it's too much trouble.

real id:
stats.xonotic.org/player/12766

"new" id:
stats.xonotic.org/player/25687

not sure why this one exists:
stats.xonotic.org/player/25801

RE: Duplicate id due to os change... - Mr. Bougo - 03-22-2013

Wait for Mirio to notice this thread, or message him on IRC or send him a PM.

Multiple stats IDs? Write here - Mirio - 03-22-2013

So, if you have - for whatever reason (OS change, HDD crash etc etc) - a new ID just write it here with the IDs.

This way we don't need a new topic everytime. Cool

They will be merged a few days after, because I collect a bunch first.
Besides that I notice it anyway 99% of the times! Tongue

@Mr.Bougo: You could sticky this I guess.

RE: Multiple stats IDs? Write here - rocknroll237 - 03-22-2013

I had an HDD crash not too long ago, this is my new code:

ID-Fingerprint: GkLdhpJU7E6vZ+ttCELjczqWJWbzuon6VuoxoXJuJSs=
ID-Is-Signed: yes
ID-Is-For-Key: Xon//KssdlzGkFKdnnN4sgg8H+koTbBn5JTi37BAW1Q=

RE: Multiple stats IDs? Write here - Mr. Bougo - 03-22-2013

rocknroll237, please provide your old and new user ID, not the fingerprint. The user ID is in the xonstat URL.

RE: Multiple stats IDs? Write here - kammy - 03-22-2013

ah ok, from my other thread I made:

Hi. I've been away fo a while because I didn't have a computer that could run Xonotic. Finally I'm back. I missed the Pussy Delight Minstagib matches. It would be nice if smeone could merge my new Xonstat with my the stats from my old installation.

there's a dedicated thread for just that. Mind posting this there? Thank you :o)

@zykure: that's awesome! And I have another idea - would it be possible to implement a "maps" section that shows you the preview image contained in the bsp (if any) as well as the fastest 10 capping times ever reported by any server for this map? Similar to what we have for race maps (which is per server up to now). We could of course activate this then for race maps, too, and have a "global" top ten list. And while we're at it, we could go even further and set up global rankings for the fastest racers (cts and ctf separately)...

* Halogene 's phantasy goes berserk

Edit: oh.

(04-17-2013, 02:23 PM)zykure Wrote: Comig soon: Overall captimes will get you a list of the fastest captures from all players on each map, in case you want to compare your captimes with others.

Transfering xonstat information. - Aidan - 04-28-2013

How do I do it? I reinstalled my operating system and now I'm on a new player.

RE: Transfering xonstat information. - Mirio - 04-28-2013

Post your old and new xonstats ID here!

RE: Transfering xonstat information. - Cyber Killer - 04-28-2013

Usually you'd need to backup your stats crypto key from the game's data dir before reinstalling and restore it on the new system, otherwise you need to contact Mirio so he can merge your nerw and old keys on the server.

I'm developing a small app to make the backup process easier, but I can't predict when it's going to be ready.

RE: Transfering xonstat information. - bitbomb - 04-29-2013

In case anyone else runs into this or wants avoid it, I have my stats key files in Dropbox, any cloud backup (sugarsync, box.net, etc etc) will do. Even a flash drive works, though it's so 2005. The file doesn't change once it's created, so there's no need to back it up regularly.

You should find it in your Xonotic data directory. If you're using Linux it should be in your home directory under /.xonotic, or if you're using Windows you'll see a Xonotic folder it in 'My Games' in 'Documents'/'My Documents.' The file you're looking for is usually 'key_0.d0si'

Once that file is gone, there's no alternative but to ask to have your old stats merged with your new stats. Definitely back up your .d0si file somewhere!

-Edited for correctness on Linux home dir, thanks Mr. Bougo. I was afraid I was off on that, haven't been able to use Linux much lately.

RE: Transfering xonstat information. - Mr. Bougo - 04-29-2013

Correction: in Linux OSes the Xonotic userdir is in $HOME/.xonotic

I swear, this summer I'm making a definite guide to finding your personal data directory. Meanwhile, the simplest way is to start up Xonotic, open the terminal (shift escape) and type which config.cfg to get the path to your config.cfg, which is in the userdir.

They got merged now!

RE: Multiple stats IDs? Write here - Maddin - 05-19-2013

It seems like the install of Win7 has created another stats account for me. Would be nice if it gets merged with my original one.
