Now then... What's this forum thing about...? - MrDetonia - 03-26-2013

Hey there,

I'm a player/wannabe mapper of Xonotic.

I've been playing fps games like it scince the days of Quake 2, and absolutely love what's been accomplished scince.

I'm really looking to learn from people with some experience in creating maps. The design, Net/GtkRadiant useage, building and packaging Etc.

I've had experience with level design before (Blender, HPL) but i'm not really sure what i'm doing with Radiant...

Nice to meet you all!

Hello and welcome to the forums.
You can get NetRadiant from http://ingar.satgnu.net/gtkradiant/installation.html. I think that the Ubuntu package works for most Linux distros, and if you are using a different OS, they are there. If you want, you can download the sources from Xonotic download page.

This is a very good basic (and not only) tutorial for *Radiant. It is intended for Quake I, but it is all mostly the same.
