Hi everyone!
I'm a fairly casual player, and I've been involved with the Red Eclipse mapping community.
I've been lurking in Xonotic for a couple of months, and I thought I should try and get in touch with the community, especially since Ballist1c's been trying to teach me how to play competitively for tournaments. I can never remember where my weapon binds are...
I've messed around with Radiant a bit, but I still haven't got it to load the assets.

Hello! I think this might be usefull when you are setting your netradiant:
To get netradiant, scripts, maps, textures go to http://beta.xonotic.org/autobuild/ (login: xonotic, password: g-23) and download lastest mapping support - beta.xonotic.org/autobuild/Xonotic-latest-mappingsupport.zip
BTW: This is on Windows 7! It might be different on Linux or other OS
Unpack it and place in right places:
The way I've got it:
D:\xonotic-0.7\Xonotic\data\textures - this is the place with your textures
D:\xonotic-0.7\Xonotic\data\scripts - folder with scripts
D:\xonotic-0.7\Xonotic\mapping\netradiant-1.5.0-20120301 - this is the folder with netradiant
In netradiant go to edit/preferences and set path to:
D:/xonotic-0.6.0/Xonotic/
Few settings I would highly recommend you to adjust:
In the Edit/preferences menu

This will prevent performance issues as well as bugs occuring during the compilation.

And this is very usefull for new Netradiant users. Clear and handy. You can always drag the viewport edges and adjust them as you want.
Usefull shortcuts:
W - move tool/drag tool
R - rotate
V - vertices mode
T - textures menu
spacebar - duplicate brush/mesh
Shift + mouse click - Brush/Patch selection
S - surface inspector
Shift + S - patch properties
J - show brush/patch size

Justin, that deserves its own thread, there some people who even have asked me how to setup netradian (mossepo
) so I think there's some people who would like it.
