i have a mac and i want to put some maps in xonotic so i can choose it by the section "create"

Do you want to use maps that you have downloaded from servers?
If so, you can find those in the directory ~/.xonotic/data/dlcache/ (that's a hidden directory in your user directory). To have the maps show up in the create tab, move the pk3 file from dlcache to its parent directory.

No, custom maps that i download from internet. I download the .pk3 files and i put it in the data folder but only one works.. the other 4 no...

if one of them works and the rest aren't, maybe there's something wrong with them. What maps are you talking about and from where did you get them?

i tried both and it didn't work... and other maps that i don't remember the name. I want to play only light speed.. thanks

Lightspeed is an official map, so you should have it by default.
Maybe you're trying to run it in a gamemode it doesn't support, Lightspeed is a Capture The Flag map, only CTF, so to play it you need to choose CTF gamemode in "create" menu.
