Making some setting not changeable ie port/max players - end user - 10-02-2013

I've been looking around on how to use Webmin to offer people free (maybe) xonotic server hosting but after some testing I found that even if I lockdown the server.cfg file the port and other settings can be changed by execing a custom.cfg file in the server/game console. Obviously in a trusted environment this is ok but in a multi user environment this could lead to abuse/headaches.

So am thinking this might be a good idea to allows come settings/cvars/rcon commands be to lockdown for multi user server setups.

Maybe restricted rcon is an option?
rcon_restricted_password
rcon_restricted_commands

I'll test it with that but I think for now I'll just leave it simple and if someone abuses the port/player numbers Max 10 I'll delete their account Smile

Now that I think about it, the last time I checked a server restart was required to change the port/maxplayers. Which was very annoying at times but should solve your problem. Or did they "fix" that?

They can be changed without restart by using the map command.

when you change the port in the server console it throws out text that says change won't take affect till after map is run or something like that.
