XQC #57 – Valentine's Cup (2v2 TDM/Draft)

To give Mirio a little free-time, and of course because Xonotic needs more quickcups, Finko and I have decided to organize the next Xonotic event - a super-special Valentine's Cup!
It will be a 2v2 TDM draft cup with a little tweak (see below), and obviously it will be played on February 14th (next week's Friday). If you go out with your girl (or boy), you are excused, everyone else is expected to be there!
If we have a reasonable number of teams, the cup will be Double Elimination with Bo1 and Finals with Bo3. If we have a really large number of teams, it will be just Single Elimination. This will be decided on the day, after check-in.
The mappool is not yet decided, but it will be 5 maps, probably some that haven't been played too often lately.
UPDATE: The pool will only be 3 maps now, but you can choose from the 6 maps we provided in the poll. The poll runs until Thursday before the cup (10 days from now).
Now about the special tweak of this cup: It will be a draft cup where teams are picked after check-in, before the matches start. However, we will divide all players into higher and lower skill groups. The point is that players from the higher group ("alpha males") can and must only pick players from the low groups ("valentine girlies"). This will be a lot of fun I'm quite sure, and we'll end up with somewhat balanced teams. This awesome idea is proudly presented by Finko Enterprises® ;-]

- Date/time: Friday, 14th February 2014 19:00 CET [UTC+1] (1:00 PM EST; 5:00 AM AEST) // http://www.worldtimebuddy.com/
- VoIP: unconnected-clan.de for TeamSpeak and Mumble
- Admins: Finko & zykure
- Skill level: any
