New track - Exile (almost done) - Archer - 07-01-2014 Hey guys, made a new track, had shown a tidbit before, here's the rest after ~5-6 hours of work: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/51891186/WIP/Exile.ogg On soundcloud: Called it Exile, it was made with love (and Ableton Live 8.0.1). )) I've play-tested it in its current state, it didn't distract me so much while playing and matched nicely with the volume of music on other maps. The track is like, 95% finished, there are some issues tiny with the drums later on in the track that I still need to look at, and one instrument is a tiny bit too loud. Feedback is welcome! RE: New track - Exile (almost done) - SouL - 07-05-2014 I'm not a musician, I just can say I like it a lot! Congratulations and thank you RE: New track - Exile (almost done) - machine! - 07-05-2014 It really reminds me of a song bundled with sunvox (which is awesome so just a plus!). Nice track, feels perfect fit for a small intense map. RE: New track - Exile (almost done) - Lee_Stricklin - 07-06-2014 Love it, should be pretty well suited for a variety of fast paced maps. Hell, I think it'd be awesome if this was the first thing the player heard in a post-tutorial map in the singleplayer mode. RE: New track - Exile (almost done) - unfa - 07-12-2014 It gives me this awesome feel of power One issue I had was extreme the pan in mixing - in the very beginning the mix is heavily to the left, while right channel sounds completely silent. On headphones this isn't too pleasant, as it creates a unnatural strange unbalanced pressure. Other than this - man! Great work, keep it up! This is more of a personal thing though, I enjoy this kind of panning and it's likely that you will encounter it in some of my other tracks as well. |
