iirc Maddin also worked on a new editor using the Qt toolkit.

Hi! Yes, I had plans for writting a new map editor for Xonotic and I still have new ideas for it in mind but there is one major aspect which kills the actual development: time. I don´t even got enough to do some level design recently so yeah... also it would be better to improve something rather than building up a completely new project for this exact same aspect. So let´s go ahead and add support for Xonotic in an editor like Trenchbroom and waste time somewhere else!
