I've read up on the settings for converting demos to vidoes but I can't find a way to remove the HUD but only leave frag messages on the screen.
viewsize 120 and r_letterbox -1 remove everything on my system.

Create a seperate config for videos and remove all HUD panels, either via the Editor or console (hud_panel_*).

OH. I forgot:
The frag message is part of the HUD! So you got to leave that panel of course.
