Player Model: Erebus and Nyx - Oblivion - 06-03-2010 At the request of Diabolik. This will probably replace Epsilon. Erebus (male) 3,397 polys Nyx (female) 3,516 polys Both of them: Wireframe view: RE: Player Model: Erebus and Nyx - Halogene - 06-03-2010 That looks pretty awesome (again...)! Gee, I like that neoprene outfit look that many of the new models have. RE: Player Model: Erebus and Nyx - jaykay - 06-03-2010 the male model is a bit too "heavy" imo, i would make everything s bit thinner. but they are awesome (again, really). oblivion, thanks so much for all the new models edit: the names are pretty different although its only a male and female version... is ereba an option for the female version? They're both greek chthonic (underworld, chaotic, older than most greek gods, including the titans) deities. Erebus is the god of darkness, Nyx is the goddess of night. They are also both offspring of the primordial god Chaos thus half brother and half sister, and if that isn't enough, they are also husband and wife. XD haha The names are chosen by pair. Another example is Ignis (which means fire in Latin) whose female version will be called Seraphina (which means 'burning' in latin, from original hebrew 'burning angel') RE: Player Model: Erebus and Nyx - -z- - 06-03-2010 Looking really good Oblivion. Keep up the good work. I hope you are finding everything you need alright. Please let me know if I can help you in anyway. RE: Player Model: Erebus and Nyx - FruitieX - 06-03-2010 Holy :O Yeah I hope they'll manage to have that "neoprene look" ingame too RE: Player Model: Erebus and Nyx - Vael - 06-03-2010 I think I'll be playing as Nyx! RE: Player Model: Erebus and Nyx - Roanoke - 06-03-2010 Very nice work. I like how Erebus is heavy-set, easier to shoot. RE: Player Model: Erebus and Nyx - Cuinnton - 06-03-2010 new favorites RE: Player Model: Erebus and Nyx - GT_Gene - 06-03-2010 The models look great, I don't see the "looks too chunky" at all. However, there is some similarity between the armor on these models and the other ones you made. They all can't wear neoprene armor. But over all, it's the best we got, and I believe it's gold standard. RE: Player Model: Erebus and Nyx - clanclanclan - 06-04-2010 Excellent playermodels, definitely go well with the current ones. I wouldn't agree with GT_Gene in that consistency is helpful to backstory, etc. A whole lot less explaining to do RE: Player Model: Erebus and Nyx - CuBe0wL - 06-04-2010 RE: Player Model: Erebus and Nyx - kay - 06-04-2010 Just WOW, but is the orange color changeable in game? RE: Player Model: Erebus and Nyx - kay - 06-04-2010 Ok, now serious, this is great work. The best so far. RE: Player Model: Erebus and Nyx - Lee_Stricklin - 06-04-2010 Oblivion is on fire! RE: Player Model: Erebus and Nyx - mr green - 06-04-2010 these are looking great. two things first the helmet is there any revisions. second the belly is that a texture thing or a skin thing as i dont see why it needs to be so ripely RE: Player Model: Erebus and Nyx - VNilla - 06-04-2010 Dang. Oblivion is the Beatles of playermodels: the hits just keep coming. Personally, I really like the three-dot helmet design (dunno why I like it though). Also, I love how it's (they're?) different from the other player models but is/are still recognizable and cool. It's not easy coming up with a successful original idea, believe me. All in all, a worthy addition to the game. I only wish I could model this well. I hope to see more from Oblivion in the future! P.S. gaaaaaaaah quote pyramids! RE: Player Model: Erebus and Nyx - Roanoke - 06-06-2010 By the way, I notice that the models have insignia on their chests, what is the significance of this? |
