more discreet Sound for Devastator (RL) - JoeMaro - 02-05-2015
Hey Players!
i'm very sensitive to sound and it defines how a weapon feels for me. Since i first played xonotic the sound of the Rocket Launcer / Devastator is bothering me. I noticed that i actually avoid firing the weapon because of its disturbing & loud & too long sound.
I know its highly subjective so i wanted to see whether others feel the same.
here is a slightly modified version of the current sound

only changed the envelope to fade out faster and lowered the volume

You can make a pk3 of it if you place the sound in same path as the original pk3 and prefix it z (so that it loads it after the normal sound). pk3 is just a renamed zip file as you probably found out.

Agreed. The sound is overall too much of a noise and fire. It should be more definied and similar to an explosion:

ah, i thought i cant do that because its part of the "pure" part of the game. Ok will do that and post my suggestion.
