That obviously doesn't count, since you're making it for this contest
The rule is more there to prevent people from using tracks they made a year ago and get an easy entry like that.
For instance, if I would use one of my tracks for Xonotic that I had already "officially" released, it would break that rule.

Also a question, is there a list of possible maps where the song will be featured on (since songs in Xonotic are connected to maps)? Would be useful for making a good atmosphere which is key in gaming music.

Thank you for the submission. I think it sounds good.
You can look at Xonotic code repository for the latest map list. It's unlikely that one track would fit all maps. You can pick a map that best showcases your music, and persuade the community that your music works for Xonotic.
