Hello xonotic fans.
I write this thread to suggest a way to speak with other players which would be easier than the chat. Maybe not include a speaking system in game but something like creating a xonotic teamspeak server. I think that could be interesting talking with the other people with the voice.
What do you think about that ?

Yes, that indeed is already being used for pickup games sometimes (organized via #xonotic.pickup on quakenet irc). For public matches it would be hard to get people use it I'm afraid since it depends on third party software. For that purpose an ingame voice system would be better, but it's hard to implement a solution that would go with Xonotic's GPL license while reaching comparable quality.
Another alternative is mumble, btw.

I've ran a mumble server before for several server but no one ended up using it Some servers as hooked up to IRC channels so players can chat that way in and off game.
