I really think F***ing bass should be a real weapon in xonotic. Just imagine! We will be able to have a real orchestra as a game mode.

I am not exactly sure how a player can control the double bass however, since it unlike tuba, doesn't have four valves.

A drum kit is also a must. It will also be quite easy to play. The crouch and jump can be the two pedals for the bass drum and the high hat, as the movement will be the snare and toms. Dropping / exit vehicle can control cymbals.

I'm thinking the opposite -- since we already have the tuba for the lower end, we should actually have a piccolo. The tuba hurts the enemy by its low frequency wave that can bend the space; the piccolo penetrates the enemy's brain and gives them headaches and affects their movement, aiming, or eyesight. Smile

The current game control for the tuba isn't by its 4 valves, but by the direction (w, a, s, d, wa, as, sd, dw), with fire/fire2 -- that's 16 notes. See this post for details. So the same control also works for accordion, and the double bass as well.

Good idea. We can just use the same set of control keys.
