Why is your server empth 24/7 - slowtwitch - 06-22-2016
Ok, you run an Xonotic server, and probably a nexuiz server before that.
Thanks for doing that. I appreciate it.
But your server is empty ALL. THE. TIME.
Why? because you don't have any bots that people can come and shoot for practice while waiting for players to arrive. Why not add a couple bots? Maybe three. Maybe only two so they get out of the way when players arrive.
Sure I could practice on my own server, but that messes up my timing. I pick medium ping servers to hone my skills against net lag.
But there is absolutely nothing of interest in an totally empty server. So why would anybody go there?
And before you say anything, let me be the first to point out that if any of you have played me you know damn well how badly I NEED the practice. I ain't no spring chicken guys.
So come on, add some bots or to those servers. Its good for the community.

Look, no one wants to play with bots. 2. People like to play modded servers. 3. Whats the point with bots? They literally are so easy to beat even on godmode.

You can add artificial lag to local matches with this cvar: cl_netlocalping 80
Also, I don't know which servers you're trying to play on, but most do in fact have bots when empty.

On LMNT server, try to vcall bots_on and vcall bots_off (in console.
Many servers have these vote options (vhelp often works to see possible server votes).

I used to practice playing maps and trying to find the fastest path or fastest way to get to a base. I got so good on Unsealed Trial at capping in a certain way that it kinda ruined the map for me. Had to stop and get back in the vehicle for real carnage.
