Looks good vede. You are a productive mapper. Unlike a totally unproductive, stupid, and too annoying person who lives in the same building as I.

maybe a new vehicle? but i need some texturing and rigging knowleges..
(and its only highpoly for the render)
atm i can define the poly amount with the subsurface thingy...
With some changes to the cockpit area, I think it'd make a really slick automated drone. I picture it about 4 feet long, circling the skies above a CTF base, periodically diving on enemies, spraying machinegun/hagar fire.

Someone would have to program the ai of course, but assuming someone is interested in doing so, I think it'd be easier to work into many maps than that spider bot is.

That blue neon looks pretty cool.

Yes, good direction. Do away with the cross lights though, I think they look strange.

Geoplanetary sounds awesome, MintOX! Smile

RE: Screenshots of what you're doing. - theShadow - 08-31-2010

hey guys.

I finally got netradiant to compile yesterday, and after messing around and watching a bunch of videos, this is what I got.

so far, it's really small, and there are only 2 weapons. I plan on adding a few more weapons and health pickups, and maybe trying to expand the map itself, adding more rooms.

as it is, I have no idea if it is worth actually trying to play a game on. but as a learning exorcise, it has helped tremendously Smile

although if anyone is interested in trying a game or 2, I will upload the map. (after I make some changes of course)

cheers!

For a first map that looks really good. However adding room by room is a very bad design philosophy for a map (but everyone does it in the beginning). Get an pen and paper and draw an outline/map of your level first, and then work with that as a base.

RE: Screenshots of what you're doing. - theShadow - 09-01-2010

well, when I first started making this map, I had an idea for some extra area,s but as I started, I decided to close up the openings and just make this first room as good as I can, and then I would go back later and add the extra rooms.

Some more changes...

RE: Screenshots of what you're doing. - Cuinnton - 09-05-2010

Cortez, always getting things done!
Please use 0.25 texture scale with ex textures where possible, in order to match other levels in game Smile

RE: Screenshots of what you're doing. - Roanoke - 09-06-2010

Not bad, mintox. I'd replace the stuff on the monitor with a camera feed of something though.
