[solved] Round brushes - It'sMe - 07-15-2010 Hey have you a idea how to work with round brushes? If i am having some cylinders and subtract them, i am getting some problems. Sometimes you can walk trough the brushes, even if u can see them. Sometimes the brushes are not visible and u can walk trough them. Normally i create a cylinder and a smaller one. And the smaller one will be subtract from the larger. How do you work with those zylinders?? RE: Round brushes - Halogene - 07-15-2010 Would be interesting to know for me too. I started a map some time ago that contains vertical tubes where the player can go up in. Due to lacking experience, I ended up making a circle brush and another smaller one and using them as template for creating the tube segments in highes zoom by hand (vertice for vertice...). If you like I can share the tube element that I created with you. RE: Round brushes - It'sMe - 07-15-2010 Okay i created a map like this: As u can see there is a circle in the middle of the map: I have created this circle with two cylinders and subtraction. The problem i got with this circle was that u can see the top and and the bottom but u can not hook and walk on them. I just cut it into two parts (now the circle is made of two halves) And now it is possible to hook and walk on it.... Then I thought let me just merge the top and bottom again.... And they were not hook or walkable again..... Now i have the solution that i cut all my cylinder brushes into two halves and the problem isn't there any longer. I hope this is understandable Crazy shit RE: Round brushes - Halogene - 07-15-2010 That's strange. But good that it worked out! |
