NetRadiant crashing (Xonotic 0.8.2, NR 1.5.0-20120301) - munyul - 07-09-2017

Issue:
I changed the layout to the 4 window layout (3D, YX, ZY, ZX). I can create a brush and move it around a little as long as it is not visible within the 3d view. Once the brush is visible in the 3d view, I can move it from the ZX window, however as soon as I click in either the YX or ZY windows the application crashes with a windows error message: "radient.exe has stopped working"

When using the start layout (YX, 3D, Texture), the application seems to work fine - as I really dislike this layout, I'm hoping someone has a solution for this issue...

Info:
Xonotic 0.8.2
NetRadiant 1.5.0-20120301
Windows 10, 64bit

Update:
The application just crashed while in the start layout - I was able to load my map and make quite a few changes (new blocks, moving old ones, etc), and saving work fine the first couple of times, but now - saving the last set of changes caused the same windows error as above. Isn't there a more stable build for Windows 10 available?

Solution:
After a quick test of the build Spike linked (see below), the application seems to be a lot more stable under Windows 10.

Thanks

Hello,

On Windows 10, I used this custom NetRadiant build made by Garux: https://gitlab.com/xonotic/netradiant/issues/64#note_2658488
However, you should retrieve "netradiant\xonotic.game\" and "netradiant\games\xonotic.game" from the official NetRadiant build, because these files are missing from Garux's build.

Hi Spike

Thanks for the heads up ... just tested the custom build you linked, seems to work much better now  Smile

Also, it looks like the menus and toolbars have been cleaned up somewhat - maybe Xonotic should grab a copy, then add the missing files and use it instead.
