4v4 TDM (Draft) Tourney #2 - Mirio - 07-24-2017
Hello,
4v4 Team Deathmatch had the most votes in the survey so far and therefore I want to host such a tournament.
What does "Draft" mean?
There will be a captain (the strongest players) for each team and they pick from the signed up players one by one (similar to #xonotic.pickup). This way balanced teams should be created and bring some fun for any skilled player.
The draft will be held two days prior to the start of the tournament (see below).
Anyone across all skill levels is obviously allowed to take part in this!
I would recommend to at least install TeamSpeak (IP: devfull.de) for this event, even if you don't have a microphone - it helps with communication.
If you wonder where to practise 4v4 TDM, just come to #xonotic.pickup (IRC, QuakeNet - https://webchat.quakenet.org/?channels=xonotic.pickup ) and play with us. Everyone is welcome.
1. General

1.1 Round Robin Group Stage
- 5 teams
- each team plays each other once
- 1st and 2nd advance to Grand Final
1.2 Playing
Group Stage
- Best of 2 (Bo2)
- Heads/Tails-> Cointoss + Pick-Pick
(Draws are possible)
Grand Final
- Best of 5 (Bo5) (= 3 map wins needed)
- Heads/Tails-> Cointoss + Pick-Pick-Pick-Pick-Drop-Drop -> If it ends 2:2 the remaining map is the decider. No draws possible.
1.3 Duration
Group Stage: 6th August 2017 until 4th September 2017
Playoffs: TBD
1.4 Demos
Admins can ask a player to give them their demos. If a player refuses to give them, a warn will be issued.

You can register from NOW until 5th August 2017 by posting here!

3. In game play
3.1 Game format
- 4v4 TDM (XPM)
- Timelimit: 20
- Fraglimit: 0
3.2 Mappool
Atelier, Bromine, Dreadful Place, Monstrosity, Rush
A match has to be played again if the players did not play it on one of these maps.
3.3 Forfeiting
You may forfeit during a match of course, without getting penalties.

- The prize distribution will be finalised after the tournament.
4.3 Donations
The prizepool is 55 EUR at the moment but it might grow as we keep it open so the community can donate to the prize pool if they want to.
