Map testing - divVerent - 08-06-2010

I tested some of the WIP maps currently in git.

aggressor:

condemned_castles:
- great, but a bit boxy, probably needs more textures

dance:
- great, just great

epsilon:
- WAY TOO DARK http://rm.endoftheinternet.org/img/uploaded/c75b847b802ee3406e6b7b551c6e8c36.jpg

final_rage:
- early in development, e.g. lava texture fails
- but nice concept, may actually work out

flow:
- even more early (I can even walk on the outside)

runningmanctf:
- too many dark rooms
- uses nexcompat textures which is not allowed for official maps
- otherwise well done

space_elevator:
- great, but too dark, MUST be made brighter

implosion:
- map is nice, but totally ruined by lack of light

red_planet:
- can use more light in all areas, and even more light in the dark parts of the center terrain area

tomb:
- nice, just nice, but fps too low. Please make sure the number of renders in r_speeds 1 never exceeds 2

valentine114:
- totally unfinished Tongue

courtfun:
- great, but lacks detail on the lower floors

techassault:
- just started with it, not close to be finished Tongue

With Courtfun, I would recommend a revamp of the item placement, it's a bit screwy to be honest, like 3x 25armours all in a row..

Spread the items out more, and put ammo packs in different places, think SavageX made this map, maybe I can speak to him Smile

What else could do the trick is more ramps. Courtfun NEEDS more ramps. Bah, where is MaikMerten? I'll tell him all this stuff

I actually really like the layout of courtfun, it's like classic CTF for me, just the item's need really re-doing, I like how you have access to quite a few weapons in the base like how it should be for CTF Smile
