RE: [Map] Facility 114 (WIP) - Caveman - 08-25-2010

hey I have a problem each time i get maps through the git (using ./all checkout mookow/facility_144 && ./all update-maps) it puts other map(s) i had in the data.old file this is annoying how can i keep the other maps i have?

also is there a command that will get all the maps in the git?

...and ;p where do i put (or what do i do with) *.pk3 files i've downloaded?

Thanks in advanced! Big Grin

You just have to put them in the data/ folder (but not in xonotic-data.pk3dir/!), and they should appear in the map list in-game Smile

No. When you download maps from the forum, you should put them in your personal xonotic directory (.xonotic/data in linux/mac, my documents\my games\xonotic\data in windows).
When map autobuilds are downloaded automatically by the ./all script or the build system, they are put inside the data/ directory in the git clone, and they SHOULD NOT be moved around by the user. If a maps is moved inside data.old, it means the resources needed for this map are not accessible from the current map branch. If you try to force loading the map, you'll likely get texture/shader/model errors.
Do not put new files inside your git clone directory, unless you are working on a branch.

I've been putting maps into data/ without any problems, but I guess I should stop now...

Put them in your personal xonotic directory. You shouldn't change anything in the git clone, unless you're sure what you're doing.
