Don't get me wrong, I'm all for scrapping the MG for a newer type of wep, but I'd like more information than just the look of it. I like the idea of a more powerful, yet less rounds-per-second assault rifle (prob somewhere around halfway between the MG primary and secondary rate). That's basically what I was saying, but in more detail. I almost never fight against an MGer. It kind of annoys me that when I hear an MG start firing, I run away because I'm almost sure to be dead in a couple of seconds. If you're wanting to make an assault rifle and make it futuristic, maybe you could put some sort of cool cooling system on it to make it look futuristic. Just some inspiration idea. What's been said about what an assault rifle should be, is more or less what the CR is. The current look and function of the CR is so primitive it could certainly use some improvements. I think it looks more like a machine gun, because the barrel's shorter and wider than what a sniper (camping) rifle should look like. And I'm still missing that old MG before it was nerfed...So maybe there could be MG camping maps too? I think it would be a nice idea to post an image of it in game with two bots one holding the current shotgun/MG and another holding the new one.
