Hey yall, is it just me or does it not make sense to have better communication in game. Maybe instead of running mumble or team speak as a seperate app it could be intergrated into the game

Implementing Mumble has been mentioned before, but from what I hear it's a pain in the ass to implement.

It makes sense, we just have nobody who wants to do it as it is quite much of a pain.
Team speak we can't include for licensing reasons.
Mumble we can't include because of lack of a interface to C.

actually i was just playing and i retract my statement. all we need is more taunts. it'd be cool if we could record our own taunts and upload them into the game so everyone could here it. like when somebody kills zombie it would scream out "i suck!" lol

I like. Now, the Mumble integration doesn't need to have positional audio right off the bat (but it should be an option in the future), but if would be nice if it plugged in to a master Mumble server that switched rooms when you switched servers if you would like (or to a Mumble server optionally hosted next to Xonotic). Of course, keep the option to connect to your own server.
Note that this suggestion is only my ideal, and that the actually probability of implementing this is very low because of how much work it would take.

People use enough language in their typing, I don't want to have to hear it to.
