Record in-game - hellmind - 09-09-2010 Long time no post, forums. Does anyone know of screen capturing software (preferable for ubuntu or linux in general) that would be suited for xonotic videos? the SOURCE engine has a built in recording system where you input "record" (or something) into the console and it begins recording, does xonotic have something similar? RE: Record in-game - kuniu the frogg - 09-09-2010 Of course Xonotic has something similiar if you want to record videos in Xonotic, i would suggest reading this: http://dev.xonotic.org/projects/xonotic/wiki/Democapture and maybe this: http://forums.xonotic.org/showthread.php?tid=916 RE: Record in-game - hellmind - 09-09-2010 (09-09-2010, 01:19 PM)kuniu the frogg Wrote: Of course Xonotic has something similiar Thanks man. RE: Record in-game - kuniu the frogg - 09-09-2010 You're welcome man. RE: Record in-game - clanclanclan - 09-10-2010 Also, ffmpeg can do screen recording on Linux (w/ X11). http://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg-doc.html#SEC18 RE: Record in-game - Antibody - 09-10-2010 hellmind, if you need any help, find me on #xonotic or #menintux - I'd be happy to help you out. RE: Record in-game - poVoq - 09-10-2010 Otherwise there is always GLC: http://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/glc.html RE: Record in-game - Mr. Bougo - 09-11-2010 Why would you use that! Unless you want to capture the window borders or other parts of your OS, there's no point in not using the builtin video recorder, which works along with the engine to produce consistent framerate and quality. RE: Record in-game - hellmind - 09-12-2010 Thanks for the help guys. And thanks for the offer Antibody. |
